Wie h\u00e4ngen Schule & Therapierh\u00fchner zusammen?<\/b>
\nIch habe meine Berufspraktische Woche in der Firma TAT, die f\u00fcr die Ausbildung von Therapiehunden sowie -h\u00fchnern zust\u00e4ndig ist, verbracht.
\nZur Tierausbildung:<\/p>\n

Damit beispielsweise ein Hund zum Therapiebegleithund ernannt werden kann, muss er zuerst einen Einstiegstest bestehen. Wenn dieser geschafft ist, f\u00e4ngt das richtige Training an. Die Trainingseinheiten werden \u201eBl\u00f6cke\u201c genannt. Man beendet einen, in dem man bis zu f\u00fcnf Mal zu einer Doppelstunde erscheint, in welcher man unterrichtet wird.<\/p>\n

Sobald f\u00fcnf dieser Einheiten abgeschlossen sind, muss das Tier nur noch eine staatliche Abschlusspr\u00fcfung absolvieren und wird dann zum Therapiebegleiter ernannt. Bei sp\u00e4teren Eins\u00e4tzen ist das Tier in Altersheimen und Schulen anwesend, in denen es Personen jeglichen Alters mit seiner Anwesenheit erfreuen und beruhigen kann.
\nBei H\u00fchnern verl\u00e4uft dieses Training \u00e4hnlich, allerdings habe ich nicht so viel von jenem miterlebt.<\/p>\n

Nun zu meinen Aufgaben:<\/p>\n

Ich habe dort unter anderem bei Nachkontrollen mitgeholfen, indem ich mich dem Tier mit Gehhilfen gen\u00e4hert habe oder etwas fallen gelassen habe, da dies Teil der Kontrolle war. Diese Kontrollen sind dazu da, um die entwickelten F\u00e4higkeiten eines bereits fertig ausgebildeten Tieres zu \u00fcberpr\u00fcfen und um einige Zeit sp\u00e4ter zu verifizieren, ob ihr K\u00f6nnen noch dem zum Zeitpunkt der Endpr\u00fcfung entspricht.<\/p>\n

\nIn how far is schoollife influenced by therapy chickens?<\/b>
\nI got to spend my week of work experience in a small company calles TAT which does training for therapy-dogs and chickens.<\/p>\n

To the training:<\/p>\n

For example, a dog can be appointed as an official therapy-support-animal, he needs to pass a starter-test first. When the dog passed that, the real training sessions can begin. Those sessions are called \u201eblocks\u201c and you finish one by turning up to a double lesson, in which you get taught the handling of a domestic pet like the ones just mentioned.<\/p>\n

As soon as these sessions are over, the animal only needs to pass a final exam and later on gets awarded the title of a therapy-support-animal. On later work assignments, the dog or chicken is supposed to visit homes for elderly people and schools of any kind. In these settings the pet is there to make people in these facilities happy and comfortable just by being in their presence.<\/p>\n

With chickens the training is actually very similar, but sadly I didn\u2018t get to experience much of that.
\nNow to my tasks in the TAT:<\/p>\n

Among other things, I\u2019ve got to help at follow-up checks, by approaching the chicken with walking aids or letting something fall loudly, just because it was part of the control. These check-ups are there to test the developed skills of an already fully trained animal and to check some time later whether their ability still corresponds to that at the time of the final examination.<\/p>\n
